Characteristics of UWB

In simple words, the UWB is nothing but a radio signal that has a frequency greater than 500 MHZ. It does not use power, phase modulation or even frequency for encoding the information but carries  signals. Instead, in order to carry information, it uses frequent pulses at various time intervals. This further allows the UWB indoor positioning system to transmit data across a wide bandwidth. These are some of the factors that allow the UWB to transmit data using very low power consumption. The transmission may be limited to a short range but by using a multi web position receiver, the UWB   will be best suited for position tracking of indoor applications.
